It is that time again. April 11-17 are the dates set for the Alaska Folk Festival. As I have said before, this is the one event in my life that still takes a long time to come around.

I'm excited about the guest artist. Several years ago a member of the Folk Festival Board turned me on to him and I've been listening to him ever since. Finally, this year that member prevailed and JP Cormier will be the Guest Artist.

As they say on their folk Festival page, Jp Cormier is "Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, sideman, innovator, recording artist, award winner. His names are many, but underlying that is a young man with an ancient soul who has traveled the world for the past 23 years bringing his unique brand of joy to audiences wherever he goes."


He is bringing two Nova Scotians with him: Mike & Bill Elliott.

It will be a grand time.
