Early on in his career this question would have never been asked. I guess the questions regarding his "folk credentials" are the price he'll have to pay for adding "Bye, bye, Miss American Pie" to the English language.

I have always loved his recording "Playing Favorites". "Mountains of Morn" (If I remember the title correctly) is a simply beautiful song.
