Generally regardless of what instrument I'm carrying the additional things are:

tuner
extra strings
picks
wire cutter
small screwdriver (for tightening tuning pegs)
capo

and that's about it.

If it's the fiddle case, I dispense with the wire cutter, screw driver, capp and picks and carry instead a cake of rosin and a shoulder rest.

I guess I travel fairly lightly.
