The Beers Family recorded a song called, I believe, "A Farmer Boy For Me," in which the girl compares her lad of the land to various less attractive professionals. One verse runs,

"I would not marry a lawyer man;
He tells too many lies.
I'd rather work with my farmer boy
Beneath the open skies."
