I have had this song stuck in my mind for years, even though I only heard it once on a folk music program on the radio. Perhaps someone recognizes it; I've had no luck with google, youtube, etc. I'd love to find out who wrote/performed it.

This is the first verse, as I remember it:

The song tells the story of the son of a rich man; and as it unfolds, you realize he's murdered his girlfriend, and gotten away with it.
