Well, the good news is my ll year old daughter not only listens to the Beatles a lot now, but also has for about 5 years, and loves them.
The bad news is she also swiped my Dazed and Confused CD with oh, such wonderful groups on it as Alice Cooper, Foghat, Lyrnyd Skyrnrd and Black Sabbath. Hey, what can I say? I wanted some DANCE music, and now she's checked out the video of it which is full of casual kid cruelty (to each other), drugs and **** words.
But yes, the early Beatles in particular seem to be very popular with the young teen set today.
She's got my anniversary compilation Beatles CDs in her room and I have to keep asking for them back.
And since we don't have TV, she's still only getting a miniscule dose compared to what most kids get. I don't like it, but I think she's got a right to know about this stuff.
