The fight to get "Folkwaves" back on radio is still very much alive and kicking.

There is still a void in many of our lives on Monday night because of the axing of the show.

However, all is not lost. A community radio station which operates in NW Leicestershire/Derbyshire called HERMITAGE RADIO now has a dedicated folk slot between 7.00 and 9.00 on Thursdays. I've listened to a couple of the shows and there has been a very good selection of music with knowledgeable presenters.

Unfortunately due to financial restraints there is no "listen again" - small enterprises like this are flying financially by the seat of their pants and the more audience the better:

and can be listened to online - are there small radio stations in your area doing the same thing ?- if we could get a list of them it may well be possible to get a folk programme every night.
