Ah, Jim, you are now reaping the reward of those years of being "that kid with the glasses".

We who have come to specs a little later in life are not programmed to keep track of them (as my father and sister both were, having started young enough) without concious effort. We have to think about it and don't succeed too often.

Wearing glasses constantly is also less than ideal, but I'm getting there. When we reach Specmaster Nirvana, your wife and I may catch you up, but for now we have glasses everywhere, though we can still never find them when needed.
