In general, I have had good experiences with Sears hand tools. Well-made, and the guarantee is the icing on top.
Repair parts are a problem with Sears- I had a Sears riding lawnmower that gave me good service- used it for ten years and passed it on when I didn't need it any more. Replacement belts from Sears were ridiculously expensive, but I checked with my automobile mechanic and he got the same spec belts for 1/10 the Sears cost ($6 vs. $60+).
