I agree about the radio in the car.   When I'm driving cross country, I'll listen to music. But when I hit a city, I turn it off. It's too distracting once traffic builds up.

But I almost never listen to the actual radio. I prefer to play my own CD's. I buy most CD's specifically for the car in the card section of Target. Targets have a secion called Lifescape CD's where you can listen to the music before you buy. The music is interesting, but not so interesting as to be a distraction in the car.

I think I notice music more than the average person does.
