Yes Tony Capstick was the presenter. I have a cassette tape from 1974, which includes myself, along with Derek & Hazel Serjeant, who ran the club, among others.
I know what you mean about the BBC contract, but I seem to remember the princely sum of £12, was what I was paid.
I sent my contract to Equity, so that I could get myself an Equity card, and once I got the card, I never did any more work that required it.
Don't think Equity ever returned the contract!
