Probably my my favourite band of all time were a Bolton outfit called brownsville banned who played the UK folk circuit in the 1970's.

There were two mainstays the mad professor who used to dance round the stage wearing mothing but a gas mask with a very penile tube coming out of the nose. And King Edward, who played the banjo.

The other member was Doc. Who wore a doctors white tunic, apart from the times he took on his alter ego King of the Working Mens Clubs Singer - Norman Mills. Norman used to sing Spanish Eyes - every few lines there would be note so ludicrously out of tune. that the whole audience simply exploded with laughter.

Towards the end of the 70's they recruited a fourth member, who worked under the name - Vic Vomit, King of the Punk Rockers.

just the best act i ever saw, anywhere. Sadly i started gigging myself so i started missing their gigs. then one day i looked, and they were gone.
