There's a 1947 Merle Travis song that I picked up from a 45rpm by The Green River Boys (featuring Glen Campbell) called, "Kentucky Means Paradise". There's a wonderful verse in there that goes...

"Take a K and an E
N and a T
U and a C-K-Y
That spells Kentucky
And it means paradise
