I'm sure life in Cuba is wondrous beyond human ken. And I certainly am disappointed in LH's strange reticence to tell us about Cuba. He was only too willing to wax lyrical on Cuba in the Libya thread. Now we even have a thread dedicated to Cuba and all of a sudden he has nothing to say. 'Tis a puzzlement.
At any rate, it seems to me there may be just a few problems in the heaven on earth which is Cuba today.
In discussing these problems we need to settle on sources that all parties on this thread will accept--since a battle of the leftist vs rightist blogs does not seem very worthwhile.
While it is true that statistics provided by the Cuban government may not be reliable, I advocate Human Rights Watch as a good source of information. I'd like to know if anybody disagrees, and if so, why.
