I know Jeri.....Karen and I actually tried it ourselves for awhile about 15 years ago. They were often called "Friendship Mushrooms" because you were supposed to give them away to friends as starters so they could enjoy it as well with all the healthful benefits.

First, we never noticed any healthful benefits. Second, although the "tea" was very, uh, different, much like apple juice and vinegar together, it wasn't on the top of our hit parade. Third, the fuckin' things reproduced at such an alarming rate that NOBODY would ever have enough friends to take them.......and most of our friends didn't want one anyway..........especially after tasting the "tea."

When I found out Joe's quackopractor, er, uh, chiropractor wife had him on the sauce, I started razzing him every chance I got! And you know me, the more repetitious and aggravating it becomes the more I do it. Like I'd bet there are at least a dozen or more people who wish I'd drop the cheeseburger bit on the Cuba thread and the other threads it has wandered to...........................I think the last one I did that had people totally pissed was the "Anne Frank Drum" thing.........
