That's an interesting thought, Skarpi: take away their Icelandic citizenship, revoke their passports and other documents, and leave them without a country. I wonder what that would do to their ability to stay where they are, get money from their bank accounts, and so forth.

Where do you go if you are country-less?

I too am angry -- because Iceland, Portugal, Ireland and the rest of Europe aren't the only countries affected by these swindlers. The US government bailed out I-don't-know-how-many companies.

I suppose we could all remember the old proverb "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" but looking back is always done with perfect sight.
