Doesn't look like you will be traversing North Carolina along an east-west axis to get to where you are going, so won't be passing near me. However, it does look like your journey from Nashville, TN to Richmond, VA will likely take you right along The Crooked Road, a musical "trail" along the Blue Ridge of south and western Virginia. I can't tell for sure, but it looks like you may also go through or near Asheville, NC. If so, send Chance (Fortunato on Mudcat) a pm. They are lovely, social, welcoming people and fine musicians and are sure to know what is happening in their area, even if they are out on tour when you pass through there.
