Thread Name: Festivals in Europe?
Subject: RE: Festivals in Europe?
Thanks Ernest and Q!

I've been invited to entertain on the last weekend in June, the 25th and 26th, in Maasmechelen, Belgium, at their annual Del Mundo Street Theater Festival. I'm investigating whether there's a possibility of organizing additional performance opportunities while in the region. Anything at all will work, from busking scenes to clubs, pubs, coffeehouses, house concerts, festivals, and theaters, private parties, etc..., you name it. So, the event at Rudolstadt, on the following weekend, would be a nice addition. Though, they seem to highlight specific countries, musical forms and instruments at that event, I wonder if they'd consider inviting those outside of those chosen themes?

Rats! So, I guess that I'll have the No Park Blues Festival Blues. That also leaves me too busy to take in the Color Cafe Festival in Brussels. Perhaps, the Wereldfolklorefestival is a possibiliy. I'll look into that.

Someone else mentioned Woodstock Festival Poland, on the border of Germany. It's a free rock based event and it's supposed to attract half a million visitors. I've never considered my self a rocker but I have had folks say that I rock. ;o)
