Thread Name: Feudin' in the Bluegrass-VP DEBATE 10/5
Subject: RE: Feudin' in the Bluegrass-VP DEBATE 10/5
I found myself surprised at liking both guys. I liked Lieberman's view on ANWR (the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge) much better than Cheney's, of course. His line, to paraphrase: ...conserving energy (via better gas mileage) is better than postulating 6 months of oil 10 years away- was succinct and convincing to me. Of course, I have a problem with invading something called a refuge in the first place.

It is my understanding that the oil in the 800-mile pipeline we have in place right now is not being used in the US but being sent to Japan and other points.

That said, I can imagine myself willingly falling in if the two men together led a parade.

I hope that the next presidential debate- on the 11th- will provide an opportunity for each of them to get down.
