My great-aunts and grandmother used to sing this version to us as a lullabye(if you can imagine that, given the gruesome lyrics!):

Oh, Mr. Johnny Rebeck, how could you be so mean
to grind up little cats and dogs in your sausage machine?
Now all the little cats and dogs will nevermore be seen,
for they'll be ground to sausage meat in Johnny Rebeck's machine.

One day the machine broke and wouldn't work at all.
So Johnny Rebeck climbed to the top to see what made it stall.
His wife in her nightgown came dancing down the hall
and gave the crank a heck of a yank and Johnny Rebeck was meat!
