Loved to read about your stuffed rabbit Bess. I've still got my Teddy (called, unimaginatively, 'Teddy') which I was given when I was two. I knitted him a pair of pink knickers when I was seven, to preserve his modesty! They've faded to a pale fawn now. Good idea about the tipple, will consider a bottle of Guiness or Adnam's perhaps.
