Subject: Stolen Acoustic Instruments In Berkeley
The following instruments were stolen from my home in Berkeley on Tuesday, 4/19/2011:

(a) Gibson F-2 mandolin, sunburst finish, 3-point design, no pickguard, ca.1919-20; no case; S/N on label inside, but faded and largely illegible; best estimate is 528XX;

(b) Taylor AB-3 acoustic bass guitar, very large body, round soundhole set on lower bout, spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, tapered body depth; black access plate on side; with Taylor leather strap; no case; S/N not recorded;

c) Bacon & Day "Silver Bell #1" tenor [four string] banjo, ca. 1924, 17-fret neck, metal flange, wooden resonator, inlays on fretboard, Oettlinger tailpiece, B&D metal plate on back of resonator; "Katrina survivor" label inside; S/N 11468 on dowel stick and rim; in high-quality Glen Cronkite dark brown leather gig bag;

d) Beard "Mike Auldridge" resophonic guitar (dobro), Model MA-6, 6 strings, black gloss finish, metal resonator cover, square neck, fancy inlays in fingerboard, with leather strap; no case; S/N MA6-135;

(e) Appalachian dulcimer, Capritaurus/Folk Roots/Rugg & Jaeckel, hourglass shape, four strings in three groups, scroll headstock, metal tuners, spruce top, mahogany (?) back and sides; no case; S/N not recorded;

Police Report filed: Berkeley PD Case Number 11-21576

Substantial no-questions-asked REWARD ($100-500 each, depending on instrument) for any information leading to the recovery of some or all of these instruments.
