Would you discuss politics with someone while sittin' at the public food court in a big mall and have a microphone mounted on the table so that EVERYONE in the damn mall could hear all your political opinions nice and loud and clear? Would that be a good idea?

No, it wouldn't. It would draw a lot of ignorant reactions from all directions.

But people do it online here without a moment's thought. And then they get flak from everyone here who don't agree with them...just as if they were sittin' in that public food court, only even worse...and they spend their days fightin' online with all those other people about their differin' political views...and it turns their days into shit.

Is this smart behaviour? Would it be smart to keep doin' it day after day? Would it improve your life in any way? Would it change anything for the better?

I think Bearded Bruce probably began askin' himself those kinda questions at some point. The answer to all of 'em is "no".

So why not have a drink instead and shut up for a change? And vote APP in 2012.
