We drove from Dublin to Killarney, and you are right, Jacqui, it is a long drive. The highway is very good though.

One thing to consider, though, is Kendall's age. I don't recall how old you are old friend, but it's difficult for those 75+ years to get insurance for a rental car in Ireland. I'm not even sure if one 75+ years old can rent a car. I guess Jacqui could drive though. Doesn't sound like you will have a lot of time to be driving around much though. Too bad, it's beautiful country all over but especially in the Dingle area.
