Lucky here in Michigan to have a quantity of quality performers, as well as some wonderful venues. Also helped greatly by organizations like the Irish-American Club/Gaelic League, St. Andrew's Scottish Society and many others who help keep it lively. We even have some folk performers here who manage to do music for a living! Jeri, you're right on with your comments about "Reynardine." It's been giving me wonderful shivers for nearly thirty years. And harpgirl, thanks for the input on the Florida folk scene. I may be moving from here to there next year (somewhere between Clearwater Beach and New Port Richey), and have been apprehensive about leaving the folk scene behind here. Cheers!J.
