I did not see the thread in question, but Carly is right about his generosity and friendship.... Bruce knew his political views were controversial and often contentious, but I thought he was usually able to hold his own against opponents.

It may not help, but he is not the 1st to leave because of frustration in defending controversial views ...of various topics.

I don't think Bruce will worry much about it, one way or another. I 'may' bring it up sometime, but only if it seems relevant. Who knows? He may read this & think it over.

(*grin*...it seems that one of his more ardent opponents has not been seen here in quite awhile, either. Sure is quiet on some topics)
