Dennis Kucinich was the only candidate in that election that I had real faith in, but he also had no chance whatsoever of winning his party's nomination...or the presidency. They actually blocked him from the later televised debates on spurious technicalities that were cooked up to shut him out of the dialogue! And if he ever did become president (which is quite inconceivable in the existing system), I expect he'd get assassinated in fairly short order...or else simply blocked at every step by Congress to the point where he was politically ruined.
