In Chicago '77 or so, the Ground Rounds were booking folk and Greg showed up one night, after leaving Vegas he said. The story was that he worked with Buck Ram of the Platters, and he was really into rock, more than folk. Then, he was the in-house guy on PHC, and did a great variety of material. About '86 or so, we booked him for a concert in San Diego and he was great. But, moving into this century, I agree, I can't understand what he is saying. Is this some kind of 'boomer thing' or returning to his '70's Bo Diddley/Clapton thing?
Whatever, I'd sure like to see one duet cd with Iris or maybe with the daughters. Best song IMHO - his recording of Rooty Toot Toot! A man of great lyrics and great grooves.
