Rats I can understand to a degree we are over run with them it would make sense to turn them into food rather than just dispose and throw them away plus they breed so easily. People are trying all kinds of weird things like poisonous fish, animal innards, winkles, whelks not to mention the rude and nasty bits of animals these days no-one turns a hare...ahem sorry hair. I couldn't kill any of it not even a worm I would be absolutely hopeless in any survival show.
