For many many years Frank Woerner has played a pivotal role in promoting, teaching, and continuing folk music in the NYC Area. On Friday, May 20, the Folk Music Society of NY (NY Pinewoods Folk Music Club) is holding a concert to celebrate and honor Frank's contribution. Frank will appear with the Richmond Tavernacle Choir. The Richmond Tavernacle Choir (Frank, Norm Pederson, Bob Conroy, Jan Christensen, David Kleiman, Alison Kelley, Heather Wood, Ken Schatz) performs annually at the restored tavern in Historic Richmondtown on Staten Island — hence the name.
