WW, I must make a correction to the above. There were only 4 Capitol recordings, not 6. My memory is going. The first 2 are on the CD that I referred to above. The other 2 are on a single Bear Family CD: 'Blackjack Choir'/Ain't It Something' BCD15435. The other Bear Family releases of Talley albums were single albums and from a later period. IMO the Capitol period was his best. You can find these on the Bear Family site:If you don't want to purchase there, CDNow has 'Blackjack Choir'/Ain't It' and Tower Records can get 'Got No Milk'/'Tryin'' as a special order import to US.
There's a Talley site:
It has a link to Cimarron Records, but it seems only his 2 latest are available. However, there are plans for the reissue of all the others. The latest 2 - 'Woody Guthrie' and 'Nashville Blues' - are fine, but not as good as the Capitols.
Hope that is of assistance.
