I have an aunt whose neighbor puts out food for animals. It is attracting raccoons and possums which are wreaking havoc in her garden. Not to mention that they might want to take up residence at her place.

She's paying an animal control firm to remove them. Has anybody had any success with the various animal repellants on the market? I'd like to suggest what to buy so she isn't spending her small retirement income on animal control.

Yes, she could just raise heck with the neighbor, but she's an elderly woman alone and...you know the rest.

She's 300 miles away, so I'm not talking hands-on help here.
