As far as there being no "common law marriage" statutes in UK, there is surely still a contract of cohabitation of some sort, whether WRITTEN or implied, in the aquisition of common goods and chattels and real property. Such a contract is surely enforcible in a court of law.

BTW, if you Brits have no such laws, why are you so far behind The Colonies in implementing same?
