Interesting new series started last night, to be repeated next Fri. From the TG4 website:

New Series: Programme one of this new series gives an introduction to the origins of the céilà band phenomenon. We discover how in 1897 the London branch of the Gaelic League was responsible for the very first céilÃ. We are also introduced to the two bands, Ceoltóirà na Mainstreach from Co. Clare and The Knochmore Céilà Band from Fermanagh, that we will follow over a number of months as they prepare for the upcoming competitive year. (Repeat)"
