Also on the YG site is 'Three-Score-and-Ten' sung by 'Three Score and Ten', and Stow Brow sung by John Greaves who was born and brought up just above Stow Brow.

If you're Googling there are hundreds of interesting shipwreck ballads. Try using 'Wreck of the......' and 'Loss of the .....', and 'Tragic shipwreck/wreck/loss of the.....'

We once had a singaround at Whitby in which we competed to see who could sing the most drownings in one ballad. I think it was the 'Royal George' or 'The London' or 'The Northfleet' that won.

Also try any Grace Darling songs. She rescued people from the wreck of 'The Forfarshire'.

Some of the most gruesome are those accounts where the crew set off in a lifeboat and end up eating each other.
