A couple of years ago Fleetwood Folk Club members, under the guise of the "Wyre Light Orchestra", produced a show entitled "Beware the Fylde Coast's Sands: Wrecks and Rescues along the Lancashire Coast", with songs mainly from the pen of Ron Baxter, set to tunes by various members of the band. Several songs therein about notable wrecks along the North West shoreline, from the earliest times to the Riverdance stranded on Cleveleys beach just a couple of years ago.

Haven't got time to post now, I can also think of a few of Ron's songs from past Fleetwood/Fishing shows that concern wrecks. I'll be adding those to the Fleetwood and Fishing Permathread in due course. Back soon (off to Langdale in the morning for the Charity Folk Festival).
