A few years ago Oxford scholars revealed that several early manuscripts give the "Number of the Beast" as "616."

So whose name does that fit? And how could one or the other get it so wrong?

Shouldn't important information like the Number of the Beast be impossible to confuse?

Or is it not important at all except to tempt false prophets into making false prophecies?
