G'day Lena,I have just come back to Sydney, after a few weeks in the country - avoiding that Sports Carnival at Homebush - (and my birthday, which must be a few days after yours ... and about a third of century earlier!). I seem to remember that you mentioned working just down the road from me at the Capitol Theatre in Haymarket. I work at EnergyAustralia, 570 George Street: at the top of the hill out of Haymarket, opposite St Andrews' Cathedral and diagonally opposite the Town Hall.
I take it that Callie has directed you to the local singing sessions and what few folk clubs survive Sydney's high rents and rapacious landlords. I see that her tape covered a good few of the regulars at The Loaded Dog, an inner suburban folk club with a strong leaning towards unplugged and unaccompanied singing.
I hope you enjoy the Big Smoke -and don't get too hassled by our bureaucracy.
Regards,
Bob Bolton
