2. So they say, but I have posted my email address on newsgroups for >20 years, and I receive very little spam (much less than in my snailmailbox or on my telephone). Maybe there is something special about me. I have now geared up to treat Web sites like newsgroups (write in my own Emacs & then post, rather than put up with the perversities of those little windows), so I can sign off in my time-honored way, with a .sig.
