The main outbreak has been in Germany, Eliza but the source of the contaminated cucumbers was originally reported by Germany as coming from Spain. The latest reports latest reports I've read say the source of the cucumbers is unknown.

Coming back to an earlier post of yours, I don't know whether or not the cucumbers would have been grown under glass. In the UK for home growing anyway, cucumbers are grown under glass and outside after the risk of frost has past. Some varieties are better suited to outside than others.
