For 10 years I saved up most of my leave allowance from work so that I could go to both Sidmouth and Whitby in August. As well as Chippenham, Crediton, Wimborne, Alcester, Dartmoor, White Horse, the Wail, Swanage, Banbury, Bedworth and Haddenham.

But I found several years ago that I was hardly using my ticket for concerts at festivals any more, at least, not the amplified ones, especially not concerts with fold-up seats, even when I was booked and didn't have to pay. Now that I'm going to have a lot more free time (but less money), I hope to get to more song & ale type weekends....
