Back in the early 1980's, there were rumors of a local punk band called Captain Colitis and the Running Sores. From what I was able to find out, the band never actually played any gigs - they broke up after only a few rehearsals due to infighting. Great name, though.

One local band that actually did exist at that time was The Corpsicles. Saw them with my own two bloodshot eyes, and lived to tell the tale.
