Thanks for understanding what I am doing. I would like to see shanties have a "clean slate" so to speak. We have much to be grateful for in the folk revival(s) for keeping interest in shanties alive, however there is also much that has transpired since the demise of shanties that practically compels us to envision them in certain ways. This is my effort from the sidelines to suggest other visions.
