I don't know people in general from the Christian Right. I am Catholic personally but not a good one. I think it is well embedded into the mainstraim..Mormon prejudice. I don't really know why except for the bigamy issue, which is not allowed by the main church now I think. And they have their own prejudices and rules which affect minorities, or did..but there is this gut level reaction to Mormons..who are some of the nicest people I have ever met. When we had a big storm here people kept saying the Mormons are coming, the Mormons are coming..they never said the Catholics are coming. The Unitarians are coming. The Baptists are coming. Only said the Mormons are coming. And we could all learn a lot from them in terms of self, family and community responsibility, preparedness etc.

There is a fear, and I found it in Ireland, of letting them have genealogical information, for fear they would retroactively baptise the Catholics and turn them into Mormons. If it works, great, if it doesn't, what is the difference. (See I am not a good Catholic). mg
