You have the Government Jefferson designed in the Constitution. There are the balance of powers and the amending formula allowing the people today to govern themselves. I don't think he envisioned that there would be people alive today dumb enough to try to throw all of that away and revert to the government of 1780's. Thank God and Jefferson that the Constitution does not allow that.
