You know, it's one thing to refuse to spend public money on abortions. (Although in truth, tax money is always spent in some ways that some taxpayers do not approve of.) It's totally another to utterly deprive women of any shred of a chance of getting one even if they spend their *own* money.

True Libertarians, which is what so many of the self-proclaimed "conservaties" often refer to themselves as would not meddle in private issues of family planning. But few people ever accused them of philosophical or intellectual consistency or integrity.
