The fact is, both CEOs and Republicans are quite happy to savagely attack and destroy one another as they battle tooth and nail for financial and political gain within their own competitive circles. As a matter of fact, it is the very credo of their existence: "survival of the fittest" (meaning the most amoral and ruthless)

Your evident wish to see them as a single monolithic bloc is as foolish as their corresponding wish to see all "liberals" in that fashion.
