Bob Merrill's "Walkin' to Missouri" refers to a robin that "flew too high" and "fell right into city ways." As a result, he is "walkin' to Missouri, can't afford to fly." While the author and publishers stoutly deny political allusions, listeners usually refer to it as "the Truman song."
