The name of the new Kornog album really is Korong. The recording studio where the album was made is on the river Korong in Brittany. Apparently they liked the anagram. The album art is mostly photos of the river.

Nicholas Quemener has replaced Soig Seberil, at least for this album and tour. I was worried when I heard this, because Soig Seberil is my favorite guitarist, and I had never heard Quemener before. But I am happy to report that the new album is as good as anything they have ever done, including the guitar work. The music and the arrangements are just as complex and intense as ever, and there is an added maturity to the playing of the individuals. Great album. I'm really looking forward to the concert here in Seattle.
