Charlie, no, I haven't had a copy of College Yiddish for a good 25 years, though I'm quite sure that's where I learned this song. The Peretz attribution is based on 25-year-old memory (as is the text), and as anyone who knows the oral tradition knows, 25 years can lead to misattributions and innovative wordings. So if you have a copy, yes, let me know if I remembered right.
